The short version
- No cookies. Nothing is stored in your browser to identify or follow you.
- We collect two things: what you choose to send us (the contact form, or an email), and anonymous statistics about how the site is used.
- We don't sell data, run ads, or add you to a mailing list. If you write to us, we write back. That's all.
- Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are honored automatically. You can also switch analytics off below.
Who we are, and what this covers
This notice covers the public website at titlecortex.com, operated by TitleCortex. For anything about it, write to hello@titlecortex.com.
It does not cover the TitleCortex application itself. Project data that customers keep in the product is handled under each customer's agreement with us, not under this notice.
What we collect, and why
When you contact us
The contact form asks for your name, work email, and company, and lets you add a message. We use these for one purpose: to reply, and to continue the conversation you started. The form is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form-to-email service, which keeps a copy for a limited time under its own policy.
If you email us directly instead, we receive your address and whatever you choose to write.
When you browse
We use PostHog to understand how the site is used: which pages are viewed, what gets clicked, how far people scroll, which site referred them, and the type of browser and device. Like any web request, this includes your IP address, which PostHog uses to estimate a general location (country, region, city).
We also record how visitors move through a page (scrolling, clicks, and pointer movement) so we can see where it is confusing. Anything typed into a form field is masked inside your own browser before it is sent, so what you write in the contact form never reaches us this way.
This runs without cookies and without storing anything on your device. A side effect worth stating plainly: because nothing is stored, we cannot recognize you on a return visit. Every visit looks like a new, anonymous visitor. We do not build profiles, and we do not use advertising networks, tracking pixels, or cross-site tracking of any kind.
What loading the page involves
Everything this site needs in order to display (its pages, styles, typeface, and images) is served from our own site. Our hosting provider, Render, keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser type) for security and reliability. The only other company your browser contacts when a page loads is PostHog, for the usage statistics described above, and it is not contacted at all if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, or if you have turned analytics off.
Who processes it for us
These are the only companies that handle data from this site, each acting on our behalf for the purpose listed.
| Provider | What for | What it sees |
|---|---|---|
| Web3Forms | Delivering the contact form to our inbox | What you enter in the form |
| PostHog | Usage statistics and interaction recordings (hosted in the United States) | Pages, clicks, device type, approximate location. Never form input. |
| Render | Hosting this website | Standard server logs |
| Our email provider | Correspondence with you | Emails you exchange with us |
We do not sell personal information, share it for advertising, or pass it to anyone else, unless the law requires us to. These providers process data in the United States and in the other countries where they operate.
How long we keep it
Messages you send us are kept for as long as the conversation or the business relationship lasts, and are deleted when they are no longer needed or when you ask, whichever comes first.
Usage statistics contain no names and no contact details. We keep them only while they are useful for understanding the site, within our analytics provider's standard retention limits.
Your choices
Turn analytics off
Checking your current setting…
Opting out saves a single marker in your browser that says "no analytics", which is the only thing this site ever stores there. After that, the analytics code is not even downloaded. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, the same thing happens automatically and you don't need to do anything.
See, correct, or delete what we hold
Email hello@titlecortex.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, fix it, or delete it. We will answer as quickly as we can, and always within 30 days. Depending on where you live (the EU, the UK, and California are examples) the law may give you specific rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the use of your information. We extend the same courtesy to everyone, wherever they are.
Where the law asks us to name a legal basis: we handle enquiries and measure site usage on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a business and answering the people who write to us.
Security and the rest
Security. The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and enquiries are seen only by the people at TitleCortex who answer them.
Children. This is a website for businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes. If what this site collects ever changes, this page changes with it, and the effective date at the top moves. We will not quietly expand what we collect.
